Indiana University Death; Brennan Miller Jones Bloomington died by suicide

Reports circulating on social media indicate that an incident occurred at Indiana University on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, following the death of a student.

The victim, identified as Brennan Miller-Jones of Bloomington, was a first-year Pre-Kelley student aspiring to major in Finance. Prior to his admission to Indiana University, Brennan worked as a deckhand on charter fishing boats in Dana Point, California, for more than three years, eventually earning a promotion to first deck.

He held several leadership roles throughout his youth, including Varsity Lacrosse Captain and achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. These experiences, according to those who knew him, helped shape his strong discipline, communication skills, and ability to motivate teams toward shared goals. At Indiana University, Brennan hoped to expand his leadership, analytical, and business skills through coursework, hands-on learning, and involvement in student organizations.

Authorities responded to the scene shortly after Brennan was discovered. The circumstances surrounding his death have not been publicly disclosed.

University officials are expected to release additional information as it becomes available. In the meantime, the campus community is mourning the loss and awaiting further updates.
